Beacon Clients Top the list of America’s Best Health Plans
Woburn, MA - Beacon Health Strategies (BHS), a leading URAC and NCQA accredited
managed behavioral health organization, is pleased to share that three of its clients,
Fallon Community Health Plan (Fallon), Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island
(NHPRI) and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) have been named the
#1, #2 and #3 Medicaid health plans in the country by U.S. News & World Report
in their recent HMO Rankings survey.
In the U.S. News & World Report survey, health plans were evaluated in a
number of categories including access to care, member satisfaction, and effective
delivery of preventive services and treatment. Overall, 93 health plans were ranked
in the Medicaid category. The basis for the survey rankings is drawn from NCQA's
Quality Compass®, which publicly reports comparative results of more than 260 commercial
health plans covering more than 75 million Americans.
